Switchboard upgrades

Switchboard upgrades must comply with AS/NZS 3000 and are carried out by a licensed electrician with a CCEW where required.

What this covers

Replacing outdated switchboards and adding RCD/safety-switch protection.

Do this first

  • Keep clear of sparking fittings, burning smells or water near electrics.
  • Do not keep resetting a safety switch or breaker that trips immediately.
  • Note which rooms lost power and photograph the switchboard if it is safe.
